1:8 scale vfx miniatures depicting the bombed cities of Aachen and Siegen for The Monuments Men (2014).

Two facades of each building were built as Aachen, and the reverse two facades as Siegen. This meant more variety on set, reduced the number of models needed and allowed more time for detailing and dressing. The models were taken outside and shot against natural sky at Longcross Studios, aka 'letting God do the lighting' - mounting on moveable steel decks and rotating in line with the sun as the day progressed, matching the sun's direction to that of the live-action plate.⁠
